BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2016
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is regarded as one of the most famous red wines in the world. Produced in the Santa Restituta area, in the municipality of Montalcino, Tuscany, our Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2016 Scuderia Italia represents a winemaking tradition of the highest quality, with these lands having harbored a unique vocation for excellent viticulture for centuries.
This extraordinary red wine, made entirely from Sangiovese grapes, is known for its remarkable ability to age beautifully, improving over time. The Brunello di Montalcino 2016 can be kept for over thirty years, depending on the vintage. To preserve its quality, the bottles should be stored horizontally in cool, dark environments with a constant temperature and free from sources of noise or foreign odors.
The aging process for Brunello di Montalcino lasts 4 years, of which 3 are spent in large oak barrels, followed by an extended period of resting in bottles. This lengthy process imparts the wine with an unmistakable structure and character.
The Brunello di Montalcino 2016 stands out for its intense ruby-red color with garnet reflections, appearing clear and bright. The aroma is intense and persistent, with complex notes of spices, small red fruits, cherry, underbrush, and hints of wilted rose. On the palate, it is elegant, harmonious, dry, with soft and balanced tannins, and a long, pleasant aromatic persistence.
This wine is the ideal companion for dishes of red meats, game, mushrooms, and truffles, and pairs perfectly with aged cheeses like pecorino and parmesan. The Brunello di Montalcino 2016 is also an excellent wine for meditation, perfect for solo tastings or enjoying in good company, allowing one to fully appreciate its every nuance.
